This year Wando is pleased to offer two types of Summer School. Summer school will be from June 6 - June 28 from 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM daily (Monday-Friday). Please click below for information on each type.
Option 1 - Initial Credit for a course that a student has failed with a grade lower than 61 OR for a student who is behind in the number of credits earned for his age and needed grade level.
Option 2 - Credit Recovery for a course that a student has failed with a grade between 61-69
Costs:
| Credit Recovery = $160 (1.0 credit) OR $80.00 (0.5 credit) |
| Initial Credit = $220 (1.0 credit) OR $110.00 (0.5 credit) |
What: An optional Honors Geometry and Honors English I Skills Institute held over two half-days
When: July 10-11 or July 24-25; Geometry: 8:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.; English: 10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Where: Wando High School – Palmetto Room
Why: To sharpen Math and English skills and best prepare for our rigorous Honors Programs
Fee: $25.00 to attend both the Math and English sessions; $12.50 if you choose to attend only one of the sessions (either Math or English). Cash or check made payable to Wando High School is due at time of registration. Scholarships are available for students of free/reduced lunch status; contact Ms. Cheryl Swinton at 881-8200 ext. 18241 for scholarship consideration. Please note: space is limited to the first 45 applicants for each session. Choose your session carefully as any changes will be limited.
Want a great way for YOU to get involved at Wando? The Wando PTSO Board has several positions available for the 2012-2013 year. These positions can be co-chaired (shared) if desired. It's a great way to know what's going on at Wando AND one great perk is RESERVED SEATING at graduation! Available positions are:

Wando Parents, it's hard to believe we have completed 6 full weeks of Spring Semester already. If your student finds himself/herself in need of extra help to be successful, please see below. Also remember that Guidance Counselors and Administrators are always available to listen and help as well!
How can I pull up my grades?
The following chart (see below) gives the Lowcountry high school-by-high school breakdown of scores for the 2010-11 school year. The state does not provide performance data for subgroups smaller than five, and that is designated by "-". Students who score 3, 4, or 5 often receive college credit. The state did not provide district-level results.
