WANDO HIGH SCHOOL PTSO

The Wando High School Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) was organized for the following purposes

  1. To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community.To raise the standards of home life;

  2. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;

  3. To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth;

  4. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education.

All Wando parents, teachers, students are eligible for PTSO membership. Each member pays annual dues of $5.00. Click here for the membership form.

PTSO affairs are managed by the Board of Directors, which is comprised of the officers (president, president elect, secretary and treasurer) and committee chairman. The Board of Directors meets the first Monday of each month.

The PTSO holds two (2) membership meetings a year. These are the PTSO Open Houses which are held at the beginning of each semester.

The PTSO sponsors the Un-Bash. The Un- Bash is the PTSO's primary fundraiser and it is the only school-wide fundraiser. Other sources of income for the PTSO include membership dues, Children's Day Festival, and
retail rebates from Office Depot, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter and Publix.
