What?

- Help Asst. Principal, Kim Wilson, welcome students & parents to Wando and help direct traffic in the halls.
- Assist at the PTSO table - Welcome families, encourage membership, support Big Bash (yes, it is back and better than ever!), inform about volunteering at Wando.
- 3 volunteers per shift are needed during the Freshmen, Sophomore, and Make Up days.

 Big Bash is Back! Big Bash is Wando PTSO's only fundraising event, and is a fun night of celebration which includes a great silent auction. The 2006-2007 "Big Bash" raised over $44,000.00 for the library, and teacher and departmental grants. If you are interested in becoming involved, please email Lauren Raycroft at rraycroft@comcast.net. Big Bash will be held at Alhambra Hall on Febuary 28th, 2009. Reserve the date on your calendars now!
 Retail Rebates - - You MUST RELINK your Harris Teeter and Bi-Lo cards! Please check out the Rebate programs offered by our Retail Rebate Partners! Harris Teeter and Bilo must be linked EVERY YEAR! Click here for more information! Download the form needed to link your Bilo card to Wando. So few families have re-linked their Harris Teeter VIP cards to Wando this year that we have not qualified for the quarterly rebates!

There are otherl areas of need. Ms. Beckham mentioned that there might be a need for able bodies to help move books. I don't know the time yet, but if you are interested in being contacted for this endeavor, please let us know!
 PTSO helps Wando by maintaining the planters at the school entrances. (Not the watering, just the planing). Contact Alison Sessoms if you'd like to help.
