A love of reading is one of the most valuable gifts we can bestow on our students and children, and one goal of our summer reading program is to cultivate this passion for the printed word. There is also a direct relationship between the amount of time a student spends on personal reading and his/her overall academic success. Students are encouraged to read as many books from as many genres as possible, but specific selections are required for each course.
