Check out our Project Lead the Way Presentation! Greetings from the School of Math, Science, and Engineering!
In 2006-07, the Math, Science, and Engineering School had the theme of “bridges” as we welcomed the new Ravenel Bridge to our community. For the 2007-08 school years at Wando High, the School of Math, Science, and Engineering used the theme of “boats” in honor of the Spirit of South Carolina, a magnificent tall ship! For 2008-09, MSE had the theme of baseball, tying lessons to history, math, physics, and the River Dogs. In 2009-10, MSE has chosen Alternative Energy as our theme, “Think Green, Think Success.” Teachers used a variety of references, activities and labs which related to our alternative energy theme throughout the year. This year, the MSE theme is BUILDING TOWARDS SUCCESS with the Founders Center at Charles Town Landing featured. The idea of building will be incorporated in lessons from civil engineering to marine building and all courses in-between!
